Building Brighter Futures

WE ARE R.I.S.E. Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in South Los Angeles, CA. Our mission is to empower pre-adolescent to adolescent girls of color through equipping them with social emotional and developmental skills they can use in their everyday lives. Areas of focus are self-awareness, personal health, well-being, education, and community philanthropy. The R.I.S.E. Acronym (Resilient, Intelligent, Successful and Empowered) is used as a mantra to provide our mentees with a number of affirmations to hold on to for the rest of their lives.

Individual and Group Mentoring

Through weekly individual and group mentoring, girls build confidence, learn healthy coping skills, and develop habits that support their well-being. Mentors create supportive spaces where girls can reflect, grow, and recognize their own strengths.

Signature Events

Throughout the year, girls and their families are invited to participate in signature events that bring learning, connection, and celebration together. These experiences create space for families to engage, reflect, and explore their roles within the R.I.S.E. village.

2026 Initiatives

In 2026, our work focuses on helping girls build confidence and use their voices in everyday life; at school, at home, and in their relationships. Through mentorship and supportive learning spaces, we walk alongside girls as they grow, make choices, and discover who they are.
